In times of the Corona crisis, many of us are forced to work from home; however, there is not always enough space for a full-sized desk – and not everyone wants to turn their cozy living room into an office:
The flatmate wall desk by Berlin based architect and designer Michael Hilgers is the minimalist solution for focused work in the home office due to its minimal depth and its simple, discreet exterior:
The work surface offers space for a laptop and mouse pad; behind the side doors in the lower area there is storage space for two 8 cm wide folders. Equipped with a flexible interior, USB & 220V sockets and LED lighting (which can be switched on by gently touching the furniture), the flatmate desk produced by the traditional German company Müller Möbelwerkstätten, offers a fully equipped workstation, which can also be placed in the narrow hallway or even behind the bedroom door.
Awarded among others with the Interior Innovation Award, the German Design Award etc.
