A 7 bedroomed farmhouse in Tonbridge, this large open-plan living, kitchen, dining room was created by an extension to the back of the house. A separate scullery is housed in the original kitchen.

The generous dimensions of the room allowed for a U shaped kitchen with large central island and custom-built ‘hanging rack’ above. The unusual open glass shelving was specially designed for the owners, who wanted the kitchen to appear separate from the living/dining areas whilst retaining the open-plan sociable feeling when entertaining guests. Beautiful Pippy Oak was used for the cabinetry with complementary brass handles. The striking granite worktop on the island is perfectly offset by the dark aubergine hand-painted cabinets beneath.

The scullery with its full height cabinets, dresser with bi-fold doors and discrete larder cupboard, displays how an impressive amount of storage can be achieved in a small space.
