Today we're going to look at a cutting-edge design that will absolutely blow you away. Featuring a number of innovative solutions, brand new concepts, and with a fresh take on the modern home, this is a truly stunning example of what's possible when a master architect has true freedom of expression.

So what makes this home so special? It features a stunning facade with its sights set firmly forward, featuring unique shapes, varied depth, and an ultra-modern design, and the interior is no different. With a central courtyard, stunning indoor planters, and a mezzanine level, this home packs in so many unique ideas it will dazzle even the most jaded architecture enthusiast. The decor is sparse and restrained, allowing the structure to stand out, and leaving room for the homeowner to inject their own personality into this amazing masterwork.

Now let's take a look!

A private exterior

This funky design makes an immediate impression. The small windows provide maximum privacy from the street, while also functioning as a design feature with the dark wooden frames.

The facade is a unique shape, with the slanted lines also providing shelter for the porch, and when compared to the house next door you can see just how modern the design is.

The porch

The porch is open, yet sheltered, featuring an interesting interplay of shapes and lines, and a window that frames the very artistic living room light shade. We're already impressed, and we haven't even stepped inside yet!

The entranceway

As we step inside we are greeted by a fantastic feature; a glass panel that looks into a tiny outdoor enclosure featuring a lovely tree. This distinctive interplay of exterior and interior freshens up the decor and allows extra light to flow into the home, plus it makes the maintenance of the plant super easy!

We also get our first look at the striking woodgrain on white colour palette that features throughout the home.

The open plan living area

The living space is a large open plan area with functionality delineated by the shape of the room. The dining room is an extension of the kitchen, a great space saving idea for smaller homes, and a development of the breakfast bar concept.

The decor finds further expression in the furniture, with a simple wooden table, black chairs and light fixtures, and white for everything else – including the sofa and kitchen surfaces.

From another angle

Here we see that fantastic light shade, incredibly artistic, and a great way to infuse some personality into a restrained decor. The varied depth of the ceiling allows for those high windows, a great way to catch a few extra hours of sun, not to mention increasing our perception of the size of the space.

The home also comes with a number of cupboards and storage options built into the home, limiting the need for extra furniture.

The courtyard

Both the living room and kitchen open into the courtyard, which as we can see picks up plenty of sunshine. This allows you to completely open the home up to fresh air which will circulate throughout the entire house, crucial for maintaining a clean and healthy home. The garden is sparse and simple in keeping with the rest of the interior.

The bedroom

One of the benefits of the sloping ceiling is that you get extra height in some rooms, and this is a great idea for using that height. A mezzanine level is an innovative use of space, allowing for extra furniture and function in a room, and if you have the space, we highly recommend talking to a homify professional to see if it could work for you!

Here the bed is on the lower floor, with the ladder leading up to a windowed space that could be used as a work station, or with a few cushions just a fun place to hang out. These mezzanine levels also feature in other rooms, showing they have really thought out how to best use the available space in this home.

The bathroom

This unorthodox bathroom sink is a great metaphor for the home as a whole, with avant-garde features used so tastefully that you barely notice just how cutting-edge the design is.

This home is an absolutely stunning example of modern style, and if this is the future of architecture then we can't wait! For another very stylish open plan home head this way!
