Tabletop landmarks is a collection of simple cast concrete table top items .
Each item is designed by a very simple parametric rule: Each step is an extruded offset of the footprint of the object. The basic form of the footprint and these simple parameters led to a resemblance of ancient architectural archetypes.
Tabletop landmarks consist out of two different sized
Arena bowls and the
Pyramid bookends and are available in pigmented concrete either in charcoal grey or sandstone grey. The concrete is sealed to be food safe so the bowls can be used to hold various items and can act as a desk tidy or a fruit bowl etc.
The original casting patterns for the items were stacked laser cut sheets, precisely glued together. From these patterns a negative was cast in silicon to act as the casting mould.
