white & rose are the two colors that dominate the coffee shop space. White walls with stucco decorations provide for an overall chic setting, while blush pink and rose gold serve as the finishing touch, and all with emerald Beetle velvet chairs that add a splash of royal elegance to the whole interior.
The place used to be a storage room for the BVG. It was also where the elevator shaft was located, thus- a lot of construction work had to be done to renovate the space. The majority of the area where the patiserie kitchen is today, used to be an invalid toilet. This serves for a perfect example of how a small and neglected area can be transformed into a stunning place with just a good concept, creativity and an idea. And of course- a small budget.
The custom made white shelves cover the entire wall behind the glass counter, providing for an imposing background. The serve as the central piece of furniture and decorative storage space, and were directly inspired by the owner of the space, or rather her looks and aesthetics- visually grand.
Blush pink artificial floral trees were ordered from a Croatian florist and placed on the street, on the terrace: the trees provide for a winter wonderland feel in the colder months, same as during spring time.
And still, the lite motif of it all is the custom made glass wall that divides the kitchen from the customer dining area. The point of the unique and original solution was to provide an insight to the kitchen- both to the customers inside, as is to those on the street. The kitchen is strategically placed in a space with a big display shop window. Rather then hiding it, as per usual, the kitchen is accessible to all eyes.
To play further with the glamorous feel- slick round glass chandeliers are added, and hanging on long brass poles of differential lengths.
The finishing touches- the accessoire and staging decorative items that go well with the patisserie were all provided by a few companies of choice: Zara Home, Bahne and Westwing.
The white shelves are the lite motif of the space and are imposing- stretching from the floor to the ceiling.
The glass wall to the kitchen is quite a looker, it offers the visitors the unique opportunity to witness what is happening behind the scenes of a master cupcake store.
The rosa and emerald sitting assembly evoke a Parisian look.
The flower wall was custom made by Ivys own team member and floral designer- Ana Fajfar from Croatia.sa
And although bathrooms are usually the neglected places in all the spaces, we always make an effort to accentuate it. The turquoise plays fantastically well with the otherwise white & rose.
The classy chandeliers add to the whole airy ambiance; they are imposingly striking without closing up the space.
The custom made blush floral pink trees add a romantic touch and are inviting: a Croatian florist made it possible.
